I have a 12 year old mare - Paint horse.

I have been riding her for lessons. Today, she decided to stop, drop and roll. I got off of her. Then, my instructor rode her so he could teach her that this was not acceptable...However, I am afraid to ride her again. What should I do?

I am really sad because we invested $1,500 in this horse and now my daughter and I are both reluctant to ride her.
